Tournament Poker week in review: Pros keep winning

There is a lot going on in the world of tournament poker this past week, as the Aussie Millions is now in full swing, the World Series of Poker Circuit Series was in Choctaw Oklahoma, the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi hosted the Million Dollar Heater, and both the WPT LA Poker Classic and the Borgata Winter Poker Open tournament series got underway on January 18th.

But the biggest tournament news of the week came from the online arena where a former November Niner captured a Sunday Million title and another big-name pro won a PokerStars TCOOP tournament on the same day.

Former WPT Player of the Year and two-time WPT Champion has a new tournament book out on the market, and if he keeps winning tournaments expect sales to go through the roof!

Poker After Dark Idol Week Goes Down Interestingly

The online poker world may be in utter turmoil right now but that doesn’t mean that the show won’t go on. In fact, the recent Idol Week on Poker After Dark went down quite interestingly, especially with Doyle Brunson, godfather of poker himself, battling it out with five young poker hot shots.

It must have been quite intimidating to face off against the godfather of poker himself. Doyle Brunson, after all, is a living legend in the poker world. As mentioned, there were five young’uns who had to master their fear and do it. Annette Obrestad, youngest and only female WSOPE Main Event Winner, was in the show and so was Tom Dwan, who is practically a regular at Poker After Dark. Eric
