This is a new beginning by poker legend like Annie Duke towards social responsibilities of poker industries. Annie Duke, a name that is known for her earnings and her contribution towards poker industry appealed to everyone to join the event with a small buy-in amount of $230 only. Phil Ivey’s full lawsuit is now available, and centers around a “Non-Competition Covenant” he has been unable to unable to negotiate out of, and belief that this plus the negative PR caused by Full Tilt since Black Friday has caused him over $150,000,000 in lost revenue. The suit currently only names Tiltware LLC and Defendants, DOES I through X, and/or ROE CORPORATIONS I through X. The suit also estimates there is about $150,000,000 owed to US players by Full Tilt. Ivey had made his announcement on Day 1 of the WSOP. Full Tilt Poker has responded harshly with a statement they issued to PokerNews.

Live coverage of the WSOP Main Event starts today with Day 3 and runs through through Day 8 on July 19th. It airs on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3.com. Coverage will alternate between two feature tables on a 30-minute delay with hole cards shown postflop. ESPN’s edited Tuesday night TV broadcasts start July 26th.
