Seized Poker Sites Allowed to Return Players Money
Two of the four online poker sites that were seized by the Federal Government last Friday have entered into an agreement with the Department of Justice allowing them to re-open their domains to receive requests from players who wish to register a return of money left in their poker accounts. Pokerstars.com and FullTiltPoker.com have been granted access to their domains in order to return players money. Players will not be able to withdraw their cash from these poker sites but will be able to request a return of their cash through both of these seized online poker rooms.
Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet have also been offered this arraignment but as of yet have not accepted. This is welcomed news to the millions of online poker players in the US who have cash sitting in their accounts but were not able to access it since the Feds seized these poker giants last Friday. Monitors from the DOJ will be on hand during this process to oversee that no deposits or gambling is done, only payment request are accepted. How players will receive this money has not been detailed, but full disclosure should be available once a player starts the process of requesting payment returns. Any cash that has been made from winnings is not included in this agreement. The money that is stuck in the online poker processors is still frozen and not attainable as of yet.
