Lawyers for Full Tilt Poker Make Desperate Plea to Players
In what seems to be a desperate plea, the Attorney Jeff Ifrah who is handling the case for Full Tilt Poker has taken to online begging, asking players [the same players that have been screwed out of their money from this now defunct poker company] to lobby the Alderney Gambling Control Commission to plead to the courts for a further delay in case. In the mean time, the US Department of Justice ordered warrants for the bank accounts that belong to numerous owners of Full Tilt Poker to have them seized. The accounts belong to Raymond Bitar, the CEO and three high profile players Howard Lederer, Fare Furst and Chris Ferguson. All of these accounts are located in different countries including the US, the UK and Switzerland to name just a few. All funds in these accounts are covered by the warrants and may be spread to other accounts in other countries as well.
Full Tilt’s Attorney subsequently has gone public with his pleas which are targeted at the online gamblers that where once loyal players of this online poker room and whom now stand a chance of never recovering their losses since the company was shutdown on Black Friday, April 14th. Jeff Ifrah stated to the public that “Right now it is important to encourage the AGCC to delay any rulings for at least 30 days to give the company time to transfer the company to its new owners, who by the way have not been named, and we have seen no proof that there are new owners at all, but Ifrah states that the AGCC knows who the new owners are and they are in no way associated with current Full Tilt Poker membership.”
He goes on to plead with players that they unite in this effort to stop any negative ruling from the AGCC. Many players allegedly have answered his pleas, but others have not, including one well known poker player named Greg Brooks who wrote on his twitter account that he wanted much more information from FTP lawyers before he would join the cause and plead the case for Full Tilt.
